Shopping for the perfect sink....

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season.  Things have been crazy so I apologize for being such a slacker with my posts!  So we're now on month 8 without a properly functioning kitchen, but we're making head way.  I finally ordered our sink today!  Yes, mike we're making progress.  I've had my eye on an white fireclay apron front sink.  Since the sinks are handmade there's a 2% fluctuation in the actual dimensions.  Once the sink is delivered we'll finally be able to order our cabinets.  I'll post a more detailed review including pictures once the sink arrives.  I can't wait!  For now here are a few online pics.

Kitchen Inspirations.....

Can you believe it?  The holidays are right around the corner.  Thankfully my mom will prepare a feast....probably enough to feed the entire New England Patriots, for 9 of us.  :)  Usually I do all of the baking for Thanksgiving.  While mike might say I go a bit overboard myself, don't believe him.  Five desserts is perfectly acceptable......"variety is the spice of life" or so they say.  Anyways, our lack of a properly functioning kitchen this holiday season has got me thinking about the type of kitchen I would love to call my own.  Here are some of my favorites!

Luckily, my brother has been gracious enough to offer me his kitchen to use this holiday season.....probably in the hopes I'll leave him a care package.  Gianni you better put your request in now.

Cure for the winter blues....

Its been a rainy couple of days here in Boston.  The days are getting shorter with sunset clocking in tonight at 4:27pm.  If you're like me and you get a touch of the winter blues this time of year, don't fret!  Just go out and buy some new lighting!  Below are a few of my absolute favorite chandeliers.  While I can't quite decide what kind of look I'm going for in our dining room,  I have been keeping my eyes peeled for a more frugal alternative......overstock.com anyone?
